Hazel Mary Faith Marlow was born in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, British India, in a military family. In July 1911, she married Major (later Colonel) James Donald Campbell, they had one son who died in 1940. She died in Scotland (Campbell was of Scottish ancestry) on October 2nd, 1950.
